Business
Valuations & Strategies was founded in 1997 by David E. Coffman CPA/ABV, CVA in
Danville, PA, to provide business valuation and consulting services to small businesses.
The firm moved to Harrisburg, PA in November 2000.
Valuation Experience
We have performed many valuations for a variety of

Litigation Experience
David Coffman has testified in court and
by deposition. His valuation reports have been used in divorce, estate, wrongful death, and
dissenting stockholder cases.
Consulting Experience
Our services are based on David Coffman’s
considerable professional experience plus the business experience that doesn’t show
up on his CV.
Business Experience
David Coffman has been fascinated with every facet
of being in business since his early teens. He has started dozens of businesses with
limited funds. They were sideline businesses that were operated part-time from his home.
Most of these ventures didn’t meet his expectations and were closed after short
periods of operation. One of these businesses was a
successful toner and inkjet cartridge business that Mr. Coffman operated for
14 years until he decided to focus on his professional practice.
His attempt at running the small auto parts store he purchased 3 years
after
graduating from college, failed miserably. He lost virtually everything he owned, but survived. His
ability to recover from the material loss and the crushing of his dream to own a business
is an experience few can match. It was an experience he doesn’t care to repeat, but
wouldn’t trade for anything.
Philosophy
David Coffman’s passion is and will always be
small business. He is a life-long student of it. He is constantly searching for ideas,
concepts, and tools that can be used by small businesses. Not theory, but practical, hands
on stuff. Everything we do is geared to and focused on small business.
